This guide outlines the process of creating and publishing a post on Textual, a minimalist blogging platform designed for writers who appreciate simplicity.
Account Creation
- Visit the Textual homepage
- Select “Continue with Google” in the upper right corner
- Complete the authentication process
Blog Setup
After account creation:
- Navigate to the Blogs section of your dashboard
- Select “New Blog” to create a new blog
- Choose a unique subdomain for your blog. Your blog’s URL will be
https://your-subdomain.textual.blog/
Creating Your First Post
- From your blog’s page, select “Create Your First Post”
- You’ll be presented with a new post creation form
- Enter your post title
- (Optional) Add an excerpt
- Upload a Markdown file for your post
- Select “Create Draft” to save your work as a draft
Previewing And Publishing Your Post
- Preview your post to ensure proper formatting by clicking the title
- Make any necessary adjustments and re-upload your Markdown file as needed
- When satisfied with your post, select “Publish” to publish your post
- Your post will now be live on your Textual blog
